Public Financial Disclosure Report For Jared Bernstein


Jared Bernstein is chief economist and economic policy advisory to Vice President Joseph Biden. He joined the administration from a position at the Economic Policy Institute in Washington, D.C.

Last year Bernstein reported income from the following sources:

Bernstein was paid $500 for each appearance he made on the following CNBC shows: Power Lunch (13 appearances); Squawk Box (14 appearances); Kudlow (55 appearances); The Call (13 appearances); Street Signs (24 appearances); Closing Bell (12 appearances); and special editions on the economy and election (eight). From January 2008 until October, 2008, Bernstein appeared on CNBC between 10 and 13 times per month. That increased to 21 appearances in October and 17 in November and then to one appearance in December (on Dec. 2 on the 7:30 p.m. Kudlow show).

Bernstein lists the following assets valued at between $100,001 and $250,000:
- Merrill Lynch 401(k).

Bernstein lists the following asset valued at between $50,001 and $100,000:
- Lincoln Financial 403(b).

Bernstein lists the following assets valued at between $15,001 and $50,000:
